BMW 740i

About the car

The BMW E38 740i is an elegant reference point for its era, closely related in spirit to the classic ALPINA luxury saloons.

A clean body line, low glasshouse and carefully resolved cabin create a saloon that remains remarkably coherent even decades later.

The 4.4-litre V8 combines flexibility with unhurried power delivery. The E38 demonstrates the underlying luxury and proportions from which the more exclusive B12 interpretations evolved.
